Monday, November 24th, 2008The American Music Awards were last night on ABC, and I thought they were the best awards show I have seen in a LOOOONG time. Not as stuffy as the Grammys, and DEFINITELY not as boring as the CMT Awards. Among the big winners last night were Chris Brown, Rihanna (will they just admit that they’re dating already!!!!!), Alicia Keys and Kanye West. For the Complete list of winners CLICK HERE
The BEST performance of the night had to be Beyoncé doing her new song ‘Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It).’ Ladies, check it out… this song is going to be huge!!
The show opened with Christina Aguilera doing 7 of her greatest hits in 7 minutes. All in all a good performance… although, she did forget a couple lyrics here and there. Take a look! I think with this performance she has put herself in line to have the staying power of a Madonna (and the body, too!)
And of course I couldn’t forget… MILEY!!! It’s her new single “Fly On The Wall.” HAPPY BIRTHDAY MILEY!!!!

On Saturday, Sarah Palin took a prank call from a Canadian comedian posing as French President Nicolas Sarkozy.
A Palin spokeswoman aid: “Governor Palin was mildly amused to learn that she had joined the ranks of heads of state, including President Sarkozy and other celebrities, in being targeted by these pranksters.”
The call was made by a well-known Montreal comedy duo known as the Masked Avengers. The two are notorious for prank calls to celebrities and heads of state.

SIX THINGS NOT TO DO ON A FIRST DATE
1. Introduce unfamiliar grooming into your routine. Never had a Brazilian wax? Today’s not the day to try it. Ditto to that new, zit-zapping, sun-damage-reversing miracle cleanser.
2. Wear those six-inch heels you bought on eBay, thinking they were Louboutins, but actually turned out to be regulation stripper footwear. Unless you’re actually a stripper and know how to walk in sky-high heels, go for a pair of more down-to-earth shoes.
3. Get liquored up first. Guzzling three martinis before you meet him is not a good idea. You can have up to one glass of wine. But no more.
4. Not eat if you’re on a dinner date. Women always think they look sexy picking at a small green salad while their date eats steak. Wrong. Skip the bunny food and order a normal sized meal.
5. Talk too much/clam up completely. Either the conversation has long, awkward silences, or one of them is talking like a crazy person. You can’t help it if he turns out to be one of those types, but you sure can keep yourself in check.
6. Play make-believe. When you drop lies to impress, it’s pretty much a given that you’re going to get busted.
